In 2014 while Julie was meeting with friends in a Toronto coffee shop, a woman overheard their conversation and stopped to chat. She was a consultant to charitable organizations and the timing of her insight was perfect. Contact information was exchanged and Julie met with her again. She suggested that Love a Village have a reply ready for anyone who might ask, "If you had $10,000 given to you, what would you do with it?"

 

Her reason was simple: "One day someone may come to you wanting to give you a large amount of money and want to know what you would do with it."
