Malawi 2018 - May Edition

2018

cultivating hope

one village at a time

We are absolutely thrilled to have Bethany and Mark returning with us to serve in Malawi this May! This will be their third trip to Malawi.

Learning is at the heart of serving on a Love a Village team. As teams join in village life in Luhomero, they add to our understanding of both the capacity and significant needs in the community. Each team strengthens our partnership with our wonderful Malawian friends and builds our capacity to cultivate hope.

Please join us in praying for this terrific team and consider how you can financially support them.

If you'd like to support Mark or Bethany in reaching their goal, please click the support button by their name.

You will be taken to our Donation page where you will have options of how you would like to support them.

Ensure you include your full name (including middle initial), mailing address, email address, and name of team member.

Tax receipts are issued for all donations of $25 or more.

Hello, I’m Mark.

I have now had the privilege of going to Malawi twice with Love a Village. I went for one week in 2016 and for two weeks in 2017. I love going and supporting the work that LAV is doing. I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2015 for mechanical engineering. I want to share what God has abundantly and graciously given me with people who have so little.

Last year, I learned a lot from a Navigators Malawian, Andy. He taught me about his development program that can help a community like Luhomero become self-sustaining through the life changing Gospel and many practical skills. This year, I hope I can help bring some of that to Luhomero.

I am excited to see the many things God has done in Luhomero this past year and what He is still doing.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Hello everyone! I'm Bethany!

I am thrilled to share with you all that I will be returning to Malawi this spring!

I am so excited to be returning to Luhomero with Love a Village for a third time. LAV works in five key areas to empower and train local families and leaders to be self-sustaining. My last visit was focused on collecting census data to assist in developing the programs LAV is implementing. Since then, LAV and their partner, Rural Development Partners (RDP), have made huge progress in the development and implementation of these projects. I am extremely excited to see these changes, help wherever is needed, learn from the incredible RDP team, and strengthen the relationships that have been formed.

If you are interested in supporting my efforts there are several unique ways that you can read about in my newsletter.
