Food Security

Villagers rely on subsistence farming for NUTRITION and existence, therefore improving practices and diversifying into new areas of agriculture and animal husbandry is the LIFE-CHANGING difference that makes villagers self sustaining!

For thousands in Luhomero, food will run out by October, with harvest not until April of the next year. Traditional farming practices have many disadvantages.

Why not plant a seed and improve the lives for many families?

Here are the ways we are helping to provide FOOD security for Villagers:

  • Conservation Agriculture & Compostig

  • Beekeeping

  • Mushroom Farming

  • Reforestation

  • Pigs, Goats, Chickens
